Golfing 3 Hills, Alberta

9 hole course x 2 rounds equal 18 holes
Each 9 holes has a somewhat different yardage as tee boxes shift the distance rating.
Absolutely lovely setting in a prairie coulee, with a creek meandering through it, and deer running around.
There are a couple of interesting elevated tee boxes and elevated greens. There are some forced carries.
Lots of fun.

Bang for buck!

This course is fairly open and not long, but the course is typically in great shape; from the nicely mowed greens to the sand traps with plenty of sand in them. The course meanders along a creek which can come into play, but there is plenty of room on the other side of fairways to avoid trouble. A fun 9 to get out at a really great price, with nice practice facilities and the staff are always great.

Bring extra balls

The course is in fabulous condition, great fairways and greens. The creek that meanders throughout the nine holes will put pressure on you to hit the fairways. This is a course for all who enjoy the game.

A Neat Course to Play

For the average golfer, enjoy the changing tee box locations, and , suck it up, you had better be on your toes, plan your shot, and don't screw up. Play the course in order of colors on your score card. Those in good shape, athletic, go for a good brisk walk, don't loiter, I'm right behind you, GO. Don't worry about your lost balls, keep going, I'll find them.

great value

We were pleasantly surprised by the course. The course was in great condition, fairways and greens. Nice setting down in a valley and a creek wanders through the course with numerous bridges to cross as you go. It was not busy on this day and the price was very good.

Nice 9 hole course

Three Hills golf course is a nice 9 hole course. The staff are friendly and relaxed. There is no feeling of being rushed. The course is a country course and doesn't quite do enough to enforce a dress code or normal course rules. An example was a group of 6 guys wearing camp muscle shirts and flip flops (rig guys). They all played together holding up guys behind them and cursing loudly all the time. The course it self was in very good shape but a couple tee boxes could use some maintenance. Overall a great experience for those looking for value and a relaxed atmosphere.

Water and Bridges and a Great Course

6 Bridges grace this 9 hole course with water coming into play on every hole. You had better fine tune your game for accuracy or bring a bunch of extra balls. Fairways, greens, bunkers, roadways and washrooms were all in great condition. Crisp new bronze signage was a nice bonus as well. A campground on site makes this a great over nighter in a quiet rural setting.

A Happy Nine

Played a round (of Golf) with my wife at Three Hills on Thursday morning. We thoroughly enjoyed the morning round as the course is in great shape. People were friendly and on the first T allowed us to go ahead of them. We also had a bit to eat in the clubhouse before travelling onto out next golf destination. A great course and we would recommend it to all golfers.

Pleasant surprise

Fairways and greens in good condition although greens a little bit slow. Not very busy and play moved quickly. You want a return engagement.
