The golf course features long driving fairways and massive, rolling greens that require careful placement and sound strategy. Norman Woods, who designed the course, was known for his deftly designed mountain courses. Woods transformed the rugged landscape of bush, water, and rocks into a challenging championship layout. He ensured that it would be a formidable test by including 66 sand traps, 12 water hazards, and elevated, multi-leveled greens. Another of Wood's unique touches is the hundreds of feet of rock walls that sit along the tiered tee boxes at Kokanee Springs Resort Club. A well-played round on this lengthy course can take you 6.5 miles.
