About

Holes 18
Type Semi-Private

Length 6500 yards
Slope 134
Rating 70.9

Perched high above the Okanagan Valley, Osoyoos Golf Club boasts two 18-hole, championship courses that sprawl across a stunning landscape of valleys, mountains, and desert. The Desert Gold Course has a modern and slightly more challenging layout than the traditionally designed Park Meadows Course. At 6,500 yards from the back tees, Desert Gold will please long hitters. There are four distinct sets of tees offering not only a variety of challenges but beautiful views overlooking Osoyoos Lake and the vineyards and orchards of South Okanagan. The layout demands accurate and skillful shot making, especially along the fairways, which are treacherously bordered by thick cuts of rough that are ready to swallow even slightly errant shots. There are also water hazards and strategically placed sand bunkers coming into play.

Awesome course

We golfed this course about 6 times this summer and loved it. It was always in great shape. The best thing though is the weather. Always good and very little chance of rain
Would recommend this course to everyone.

Interesting layout if you like hitting uphill and down hill!

As previous reviewer stated, 1, 17 & 18 are standard type holes. The rest are target golf with significant elevation changes on just about every hole....so if you like big drops and several blind shots then this is the course for you. Nice vistas of valley, but be prepared for a sewage/waste water treatment pond along the downslope side of #1. Course conditions were "Early Spring" today. Firm fairways and greens but some winter kill evident. Played Nk'Mip Canyon Desert GC in Oliver yesterday. Nk'Mip was in summer condition with pristine greens. Would suggest Nk'Mip the better course to play at this time.

Challenging but Fair - play the Gold course Only

Other than holes 1, 17, and 18, this course feels like a desert course in Arizona. Nice elevation changes and interesting placement shots that require good club selection. The afore mentioned holes are basic muni-course boring holes.

Well worth the money and good challenge for all handicaps. You will like the elevation changes it makes you think your way around. The clubhouse also has good meals. The only downside is the snack shack closes a little to early
