Pender Island Golf and Country Club
About
Pender Island Golf & Country Club is one of British Columbia's most scenic nine-hole courses. The golf course is a Gulf Islands favorite, offering a challenging round and beautiful views. From the elevated tees, golfers get a view of the impending challenges but the course looks more difficult than it is. Players of all skill levels can approach the golf course with confidence thanks to six different sets of tees. Its roots date back to 1937 and since then, with the support of member volunteers to maintain the upkeep, the course has remained a constant favorite within the community. Pender Island's signature hole is the par-3 eighth. You'll begin from an elevated tee from which you'll have to play over 230 yards of water to an undulating triple-tiered green. This hole also stands out for having a replica of the stone bridge at St. Andrews.

Where else can you golf year round in Canada?
A great little 9 that plays as 18. Open year round thanks to a dedicated, hard working, yet modest ground crew, and its local Volunteer force. Kudos! Come try Canada's toughest 230 yd. Par 3, where you golf off a cliff, over a creek surrounded by ponds & trees to an elevated green (the size of a postage stamp!), bordered close by out of bounds, and a sand trap! 1-6 is a wide open meadow course friendly to shanks and slices, 7-9 plays in the foothills and is far from slice or shank friendly, so bring a few extra balls, and be prepared to never wait! (rarely!) Much fun, I shall return soon!

Funky cool Pender.
Took a buddy here for his BDay. We had a ball. Several greens were closed for sanding and aeration.
The course is quite nicely laid out, a bit of a challenge for sure from the tips. Beautiful setting, very nice staff, and that intangible Gulf Island grooviness added up to a fantastic experience.
Great time!
Very nice set up, good to have a game of golf in the island while you are in holiday !
