Guildford Golf and Country Club
About
Guildford Golf & Country Club has long been known as one of the finest courses British Columbia has to offer. The golf course is located in Surrey, just across the U.S. border from Washington and less than 40 minutes from Vancouver. The scenic layout has fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are large and undulating. There are also creeks that weave across the golf course and numerous lakes that come into play. The layout has a classic design that still provides a challenge for all skill levels. Golfers are put to the test right away on the first two holes, a par 4 and a par 3 respectively, which require good course management and thoughtful decision making. Guilford's standout hole though, is the signature 16th. This tough par 3 is modeled after the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, complete with a stone bridge and water hazard that encircles almost the entire green.

Great local course
Another great round at GG&CC. We’ll maintained. Creative holes. Always a great time.
5.5 hour round
I don't mind playing Guildford buit can be really slow. 20 .mins behind on tee times also. Not enough ball washers or benches
Price?
It was good course.
Bit slow but acceptable.
A little oasis at the end of the Hole 10 was really awesome!
It was really hot sunny day and it saved my life :D
But one weird thing, when I booked through GN app it was 93.34 for 2 but pro shop charged me $98 :(
Great little course in very good condition.
Golfed here with my buddy from out of town. The course was in great condition. The fairways were dry and smooth and the greens were in excellent condition.
Nice Course In Good Condition
The course was in great condition. The fairways were dry and in nice condition and the greens were smooth and quick. All around a great course for the money.
Great course. Wish I had all week to play 18
Pros - Great course layout, was really excited pulling up. Course was plush, greens were slow and furry but rolled okay. Great price. $32 on a Saturday afternoon.
Cons - had to leave. played 10 holes in 3+ hours as a single. Waiting 10-15mins to hit every shot was painful. Seemed to be a common theme at this track after chatting with the Marshall/beverage girl.
If you have all day and not a care in the world, I’d give it a go but a shame that a nice course can’t be enjoyed at a reasonable pace.
Reception: Awesome
Super Reception from clubhouse--Myself and 2 friends were 4000 miles from home and just wanted to get out and play 18 holes. Clubhouse was super helpful..getting our club rental, power carts, etc. Thanks for a great afternoon.
Good conditions but pace of play baddd.
Granted it was a long weekend there still is no excuse for 3 groups waiting on a tee box. Just looking around there was a lot of standing and waiting. Tee time was 1:06. Didnt start until 1:40. Looked like 5 groups waiting to tee off behind us. All in all the round took 5:45 . Sometimes waited 15-20 min between shots. Can you imagine! Liked the course for the first visit but can't justify going back.
Wet and Sloppy at Guildford
The weather was overcast but not raining. We used carts and was cart path only - not a problem. The course itself was waterlogged from several days of rain and the course has very poor drainage. Every shot was like hitting out of a swamp (except T shots). I lost several balls on the front nine due to plugging, even though they were in the fairway. when you did find your ball on the fairway, it was usually sitting in inch deep water and no dry place to clean and place. Some fairways were ankle deep in mud and there were deep cart tracks in several areas. We only played nine holes. This would be a nice course in dryer conditions. It should not have been opened until it dried out a bit more.
Although the course would be a challenge under any conditions, when I played yesterday, the course, other than the greens which were in excellent condition if a little slow, was almost unplayable due mainly to bog like conditions. My round took 4 hours and 52 minutes and I saw a Marshall only once in the entire round when I complained of the pace of play nothing was done to improve it. I have played the course several times over the years, but despite the water logged fairways and rough, I found the general overall condition to have deteriorated over those years and sadly, yesterday will be the last time I do play this course. Unfortunate because with a little effort, it could be, as I have previously mentioned, a really good challenge with a variety of well layed out holes.
