About
Located in a spectacular natural setting against the backdrop of the Niagara River whirlpool and gorge, this magnificent and challenging championship course was designed by the legendary golf architect Stanley Thompson. Owned and operated by The Niagara Parks Commission since 1951, Whirlpool is considered as one of the Top 100 Courses in Canada.
Directions: From Toronto: Approach Niagara Falls on the QEW. Just after crossing the St. Catharines Skyway, take the 405 exit towards the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge to the USA. Just before the bridge, take the last exit to the Niagara Parkway. Turn right off the ramp onto the Niagara Parkway. Whirlpool Golf Course is 4km down the road on the right hand side

Disappointing
Course was under water- got there to find out it was closed the day before due to standing water. Cart path only (fine), but my feet were soaked before I reached the first green. Many of the sand traps looked like lakes. On hole #3 my son hit a boulder in the sand trap and gouged his sand wedge- only thing the pro shop said was “we will let them know”. Starter had minimal to say and seemed irritated to be there. There are way too many courses in the area that would be more appreciative of their customers. Sad to say I’ll never go back to Whirlpool.
Satisfied once again
The course really was in nice condition after heavy rains the day before. Staff was amazing as always and super friendly. Our group really had a good time and we look forward to playing again someday soon.

Whirlpool Niagara
The course exceeded expectations with some fun par 3's and challenging par 5 holes, all set in the view of the scenic Niagara parkway. On day of play it was cart path only which led to a slower paced round. Otherwise the course was in great shape and staff very hospitable.
Whirlpool Niagara
Enjoyed our round at Whirlpool Niagara. Wet conditions led to cart path only rule which slowed pace of play. Elevated and contoured greens added a fun challenge. Scenic surroundings beside the Niagara river and close to many tourist spots.
Best kept secret in Niagara
Play it a few time each year with different friends who have never been on the course and not from Niagara Falls. All of us thought it was in great shape and the greens were excellent as well. Speed of play wa 4 1/4 hours so pretty good for playing in the afternoon. That's why we come back each year.
More than a parkland course
From the early tee off and in spite of the torrential rains we had a great round. The fairways and some greens were puddles and ponds but the course seems to drain well so no real hazard. Very nicely conditioned course. We will be back try it during a dry spell. Jason in the pro shop was a great representative for the course and Niagara parks.
Fantastic day for golf
Canada day, 640 tee time with a random pair. We finished 18 holes in about 3 hours. Course was in fantastic condition. Nothing like golfing in the morning dew.
Great Parks Course
For a Public Parks run course, it is great. Well kept, nice selection of holes. Good value for the money.
