Bighorn Golf & Country Club
About
Carved out of the sunny benchlands at the base of Mounts Peter and Paul, Bighorn Golf & Country Club (formerly known as Sun Rivers Golf Resort) is one of the few “true” desert courses in Canada. Designed by celebrated golf course architect Graham Cooke and Wayne Carleton, Bighorn is the essence of exceptional golf; offering dramatic elevation changes, sagebrush, natural sand dunes, classic bunkering, wide bentgrass fairways, gently contoured greens and majestic vista

Great value
It’s rare these days to play a round with a cart for less than $90. Bighorn is a difficult test for a great price. 2 can play with a cart for $100. Unheard of in this inflation ridden time
Keep the ball in the fairway and aim high of the river
Tricky course
Start was great. Clubhouse drives your cart to you. Hot day but there was a water warning so be prepared and make sure you have lots of water. Tough course if it’s your first time or it’s been a while. Fairways are narrow, have zigzags and lots of rolls. Try not to spray too much.
Great shape
Greens and fairways are in good condition. Pace of play was great as I think it was too hot for most people. Just had to drink plenty of fluids and it was all good
Big value at Bighorn
Nice course in good shape. Friendly staff. Great 19th hole.
Great course
Lovely interesting course. Not an east course - lot’s of ‘blind’ holes. In good condition. A herd of lovely Big Horn Sheep were next to one of the holes!
