Bighorn Golf & Country Club
About
Carved out of the sunny benchlands at the base of Mounts Peter and Paul, Bighorn Golf & Country Club (formerly known as Sun Rivers Golf Resort) is one of the few “true” desert courses in Canada. Designed by celebrated golf course architect Graham Cooke and Wayne Carleton, Bighorn is the essence of exceptional golf; offering dramatic elevation changes, sagebrush, natural sand dunes, classic bunkering, wide bentgrass fairways, gently contoured greens and majestic vista

Comin in HOT!!
Great day, great course. Hubby shot a 74, I didn't play to great as I threw my back out earlier in the morning but I birdied 16 yay!!!
So nice to have more pleasant Marshalls out there this year. We stopped playing there for a couple years as the Marshalls always had attitude.
The lady that has been running the caddy-shack the past 3x we’ve been there is so nice!
Greens are tricky
front 9 went very smooth as we were a twosome the group ahead was a bit slow got to #10 and they played through the group ahead plus they let us also but the group that we were following do you think they would let us play through not in your life ! Not happy
Sun Rivers Golf Resort
Along the lower slopes of Mount Peter, the Sun Rivers Golf Resort wanders through an established residential community. If you're up to a challenging round of golf, Sun Rivers will give you a run for your money. With rolling fairways, nicely contoured bunker complexes, big putting surfaces, great routing, elevation changes and fantastic views of the Thompson Valley. Two memorable holes on the course are Holes 14 and 17.

If you like hitting houses! This course if for you!
Golf trip 2016
11 guys
I joke about the houses, but Seriously. Houses...on. every hole!
I had a second shot on a par 5. I cut it over a 30ft concrete retaining wall, over a backyard, hit that green for a eagle putt. The house was for sale so... i don't think they mind.
Overall a tight smaller course. Im surprised with the 72 par. It seemed smaller, but hey, chances to score abundant! I tonne of blind tee shots. There was a crazy downhill hole. We played it way wrong! shoulda just crushed a 3 wood down the pipe, find it down there later. But i layed up. weak play.
Overall challenging, i gave an average rating mainly because i was frustrated most of the time playing. I didn't know where to shoot. what club equals 65yrds downhill. and the friggen houses everywhere. construction noise. very busy roads weave through the course. but i will play it again if i get the chance.
good job.
