Simplicity the spice
of life at Alberta's
Long Lake Golf Club
(Nov. 20, 2006) - I found a little diamond: Long Lake Golf Club in Boyle, Alberta. Antique farm equipment, hilly terrain, great golf course for family play. A nine-hole course I challenge you to make par on. This is a real feat in itself. RV parking with water and sewer, great attitude from all employees. I also hear kids' tee boxes are being created, anywhere from 100 to 168 yeards from the greens.

Green fees are very affordable from the family viewpoint, and awesome for the duffer on the go, with a lake down the road and a paintball center as well, all within a kilometer. Blind greens and trees in the most perfect spots show a challenge for anyone.
This is truly a duffer's dream. Careful that the simplicity of it all does not throw you. The sixth tee is in my eyes the best - lost a ball. You hit 20 feet uphill to reach the fairway. Slight doglegs will have you scratching your head.
