Good Course, Definitely not Welcomed
My son and I went to play when we could, after school, after booking on GolfNow. The course, having formerly been private, still tries to hold onto many of its private course values. It was clear from entering, we were not welcome. The large group in-front of us in the clubhouse was greeted warmly with certain familiarity. When our turn to check in, “oh, you booked with golfnow? You won’t get 18 in, I’ll be coming out to collect the carts after 9!” I asked a few questions about the booking and was told it gets dark at 730 and you will not get a round in. We were there and determined to play, paid and were told the carts were up top of the hill, go get one. Well, no carts, no starter. We found a cart in the garage downstairs after finding the only guy working there willing to help us. Still no starter? He was up top watching the high school golf rounds finish. Once we got off, I was so rattled it took a few holes to settle down. I have never been treated so poorly and looked down upon in my life.
That being said, enjoyed the golf and being out with my son, shot a 42 on the back 9. Oh yes, despite being told otherwise we got in all 18.
Unless the course improves its customer service, buyer beware! Shape up, or end up a subdivision, up to you,
Power Golf Carts & CourseCondition
Power golf carts not available on day of play due to rain previous day. Should allow carts on restricted pathway. Had back issue and would have avoided the course of had known I advance. Some greens not in good condition.
Hidden gem - With plenty of tee options
2nd time playing here. Nice staff, plenty of tee options with clear guidelines on which to play vs ability. The valley part of the course has some great holes, with undulations and water features/dangers! Greens were fast with subtle borrows, so challenging. Some of holes are more parkland but this is a good break. Pace of play was only issue.
At least a diagram
First time playing the golf course just so happened that we joined a twosome that also were the first time playing golf at that golf course however, none of us was the first time playing golf. There was not one diagram not on the golf course not on the Teebox, not on the scorecard to show golfers where the next haul was what the possible Blindspot hazards were what was what and where cart pass leading to no one knows it would speed play up. I’m sure if at least they had a crayon drawing anything but guess work on is this a dog leg right or a dog leg left? What’s anette Ridge over there? I mean it was very very unusual for the course with this rating did not have at least a diagram or some thing at the Teebox.
Very Beautiful Course in Niagara
Always a pleasure playing this course. Nice design, very beautiful and greens are very fast and challenging.
Hidden gem
Pace of play was slow this time. The group in front of us really slow. The kid working behind the desk in the pro shop was arrogant, the rest of the staff were pleasant and welcoming.
Best greens for a public course
Course is gorgeous. Greens are the best around. 18th hole tee shot landing area needs redesigned, otherwise it’s a great track and beautiful views. Hidden gem
This is a great point I'd forgotten. the lack of any diagrams on the scorecard, or on any of the holes makes it challenging - and dangerous as there are a few blind shots.
