Reviews
Very undulating green and lots of water hazard.
Fairway is not well keep, bunkers has weeds and goose dropping. All greens were arrated so putting is near impossible on our day of play. Hopefully situation will improve in a month's time.
Last Game of the Season
Was out this past Sunday and it was very enjoyable for this round. The past 3 times that we played out there we had to wait everytime to get on the tee box from anywhere to 10-12mins. Playing 18 holes with a cart should not be taking up to 5-5 1/2 hours to play and there should have been a Marshall out there! Other than we I love playing out there dispite the 1/2 hour drive.
Thanks
Autum Golfing in Alberta
Another great day at this course, where we meet up with a very nice gentleman who booked through golfnow as well. Will look forward to booking more in the Spring since that was really the last weekend for us here. I will be using the site when I'm in Palm Springs,Ca
Thank you
Not worth the drive
Greens were not quite bad enough to be called poor condition. Weekends fill up and pace of play is slow. The staff are too young and too few and their are not enough power carts so you usually need to wait as they come available. Price is fair or maybe a few dollars high for the value. All in all not a bad course but spacing out the tee times by another 2 minutes would make it better.
breezing
long and lanky, give the ball a good spanky,
don't let it drift cuz your score will climb swift
the greens aren;t mean just flat and green
Edmonton Springs
Not much more than a farmer's field. I would not play here again.
the course has a lot of nice scenic views
Overall the course layout was quite good, fairways and greens are well maintained......The staffs at the desk was a different stories, they (young lady and a young man ) were not friendly, quite rude and unprofessional.
Ball Washers Need Maintenance
The ball washers are basically non-existent because of their terrible condition. Most are broken, without water and dilapitated. We were reluctant to use the washers on the carts, because the water is filty dirty (appears the washers are never flushed with clean water). Actually, the carts themselves could also be cleaner (as they also do not appear to be swept nor hosed down). All of this combined, detracts from the course in making it a perfect round.
Edmonton Springs
Excellent conditions especially the greens. Challenging water hazards
Nice scenery
the course is getting better than average score. It has good scenery, lot of different birds and course set up is getting more mature. I will play again.
ed
Greens were in good condition, however fairways and rough need attention, carts were all dirty.
Lots of Challenging Holes
I course is very challenging. I would recommend people trying it.
We got a great deal on Golf now.
I would suggest that the grounds keeping try to do a bit of work to clean out the bunkers and plant some grass in the very bare spots.
Challenging
This course played well with a few , "you better hit in the center of the fairway holes". The greens are good, some slow, some fast. The only problem I had was the holes were never where my ball landed on the green. If the greens keeper could fix that it would have been even more enjoyable.
Overall "EXCELLENT"
Challenging track
Tight fairways and lots of water. Short par fives but longer par threes from tips. Fairways and tee boxes need some growing in. I would play here again.
Okay if you get a "Hot Deal"
This course is a bit rough on the edges. The T boxes and greens are not in prestige condition. Therefore, you can enjoy your time if you get a good deal on the Green Fees.
Nice Layout
Course has a nice layout but is poorly maintained. Grass growing in sand traps, tee boxes in poor shape and rough around the pin placement. Appears the pins not moved on regular basis. In spite of course conditions still a fun course to play and has a peaceful atmosphere.
We won't be back
I had actually played this course many years ago and quit after 9 holes because of the pasture-like conditions. I had heard it had improved somewhat so we decided to give it a try. Happy to report it is now one step above pasture-like.
This is a great layout and has tremendous potential but the owner seems reluctant to put any money into it. The greens were bumpy, the traps overgrown with weeds and the fairways were as hard as rock.
I did not see any irrigation system, although it may have been there, I just didn't see it.
There were no carts available when we arrived, but eventually some did come in and we got off on time.
Pace of play was very slow as we had what appeared to be a bunch of drunken teens out on some sort of stag. Once we got past them we ran into 4 twosomes that were very slow. Why they weren't put together as foursomes is beyond me. The marshall was aware of all this, yet did nothing to correct it.
Springs can either remain a nice country course just outside a major city or bring itself up to the level that city golfers demand.
We won't be back.
Slow play
No course marshal. Two groups of five people walking held up the whole course and they would not let anyone through. Club house said they would do something but did not. Course in ruff condition, greens in poor shape.
