Birchbank Golf Course
About
Surrounded by the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains, Birchbank Golf Course (previously known as Rossland Trail Country Club) in Genelle offers stunning views from nearly every hole. The course itself winds across rolling hills blanketed with mature trees. The course incorporates all the hallmarks of traditional British Columbia golf. Since opening in 1962, the golf course has undergone major changes including the renovation of several greens, hole relocations, and the addition of many new bunkers. The renovations have helped to build Birchbank's reputation as one of the finest golf courses in the Kootenays. The elevation changes throughout the course, which range from subtle to dramatic, helped to determine the strategic placement of the bunkers. A stream meanders through the course as well, coming into play on a few holes. There is also a driving range available at Birchbank G.C.

Reviews
Lovely setting along the river
The cost was amazingly low and had planned to golf that course but didn't remember the back nine had hills so in 38 degree weather it was more of a challenge that i had expected. My husband fared better but we did do it again and the second time took a cart which worked out great.
We ate there both times and the food was excellent with charming staff.
Nice Course
Hot Deal was awesome. Excellent course. Wild Turkeys are present on the course.
wonderful course for my level of play (white tees, scoring an 88); fairways are quite lush and the greens in excellent shape. A combination of geese and wild turkeys kept things interesting, even saw a snake and a coyote.
Always A Pleasure
Always a pleasure to play Birchbank. Good shape and friendly staff.
Gringo golf
Excellent course to walk not too difficult
Fun day
There are a couple of interesting holes #9 elevated green & #14 elevated tee box.
It's a nice course, easily walkable, pretty wide open (tree wise)& it's easy to find.
A good round at Birchbank.
We could only golf 9 holes as it was too hot to do the entire 18 holes. Good value through Golf Now.
Great course Beautifully treed!
This course and staff were great! Might as well eat while you are there, as the food was awesome as well!
Great golf st a beautiful course!
Always a well kept course, great pro shop and staff! Food is just average though!
Always a great walk in the park !
Great walking course; lots of fairway for big hitters; course is in great shape; pace of play 4 hours !! All good?
Great day golfing
Great course and in great shape. The people at the course are very friendly and help make the day.
Birchbank
Great course for the money. Wasn't overly busy so the pace of play was great. Didn't have to wait and nobody was riding our tails. Greens were in great shape and holes 13&14 offered gorgeous views of the Columbia river. As a member of granite pointe in Nelson who walks the course, it was an easy stroll in comparison. Look forward to playing there again.
Golfing happiness at Birchbank
If you are getting beat up by the Kootenay courses, try this one. It is delightful. You can almost always find your ball, and usually have a chip shot back to the fairway. There are mature beautiful trees for shade. There are very good practice places as well.
Mini golf tour
We decided to do a mini golf tour on s
Few courses in the area around Trail. This well established course was groomed extremely well and staff were so friendly. Highly recommend
goodtime
easy to walk not very challenging lots of trees need to hit the ball straight
Birchbank is GREAT!
Although it was an extremely hot, the course was in excellent condition. The greens were great and somewhat fast. We decided to ride because of the heat although you can easily walk it. And of course thew views are fantastic.
Enjoyable
The course was in great shape. It is well established and has some interesting holes. Well worth playing.
