Surrounded by the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains, Birchbank Golf Course (previously known as Rossland Trail Country Club) in Genelle offers stunning views from nearly every hole. The course itself winds across rolling hills blanketed with mature trees. The course incorporates all the hallmarks of traditional British Columbia golf. Since opening in 1962, the golf course has undergone major changes including the renovation of several greens, hole relocations, and the addition of many new bunkers. The renovations have helped to build Birchbank's reputation as one of the finest golf courses in the Kootenays. The elevation changes throughout the course, which range from subtle to dramatic, helped to determine the strategic placement of the bunkers. A stream meanders through the course as well, coming into play on a few holes. There is also a driving range available at Birchbank G.C.

A Great Value!

Easy to walk. Still able to play in less than 4 hrs. Great mountain and river views on the back nine. The signature hole is the par 3 thirteenth hole with the tee high above the green. Be very aware of any breeze that may be present on this fun hole. This is followed by a driveable but challenging short par 4.

Beautiful Course to Walk

My boyfriend and I had a day off together and at the last minute wanted to see if we could get a round of golf in. We looked on Golf Now and the perfect tee time was available at an unbelievable price. We played in 3 1/2 hours. And we both walked. The course was in great shape and it was a very enjoyable day.
